Based on far-reaching know-how in technology and R&D, the future will see the Asahi Breweries Group develop new business models, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and foods for a healthier life.
 
Research & Development Center
The Research & Development Center in Moriya City, Ibaraki Prefecture is next to the Ibaraki Brewery. In order to achieve Asahi Breweries group vision, "to help create an enjoyable and rich lifestyle through businesses related to food and health", R&D is divided into two groups. R&D for the future is conducted at the R&D Headquarters, and R&D for contributing to the alcoholic beverage business is conducted at the Product & Technology Development Headquarters.

Located in the Research & Development Center, the Soft Drinks R&D Laboratory is in charge of general research and development related to soft drinks.
